Bev’s first-hand experience of huge health challenges, her enthusiasm and genuine concern for her clients form a powerful combination. I was struck by her rare understanding of the role food really plays in our lives. I learnt it’s not only about what we eat, but realising how food and health issues are connected to our personal and work relationships, sexuality, fulfilment, and other factors.
 

Bev helped me overcome a digestive problem by showing me that my body was not “at fault”, but merely doing its best to cope with stress. Regaining trust in my body and making small changes to my diet led to things eventually returning to normal. As she puts it:  “We’re not really broken, we’re just not tuned to our bodies.”

I began my journey with Bev as I had digestion issues and inflammation in my body. I needed tools to help change and improve my health, weight and eating habits. I wanted to learn how I could use food as a tool to improve my health and wellbeing.
 

Following the change in my diet and understanding which foods to eat, I felt an immediate improvement in my health. Through a process of elimination and experimentation we understood that I have a sensitivity to white flour. Once I cut it out my diet, the inflammation and bloating improved significantly.


Working with Bev has changed my life. I realised that I had to change my eating habits, and it’s not only about what we eat that is important it’s also about how and when we eat.

The reasons I came to see Bev was that I was binge eating, continued eating even if my stomach hurt, I wanted to deal with my fear of food, gaining weight and eating “bad” foods. 
 

Bev helped me understand eating unhealthily / over eating and binge eating were just the symptoms of my
challenges, and that there were many layers that we needed to uncover to find the cause. We talked about the issues and triggers in my daily life, my family, my lack of confidence and through this process I began to understand what was causing and triggering these eating behaviours.

 

Since working with Bev, I am no longer obsessed with what I’m eating, I no longer “beat myself up” if I eat something unhealthy or “bad” and I am much more accepting of myself.
